Welcome!

I'm Thijs Carrière, a PhD candidate at the department of Methodology and Statistics of Utrecht University. My project involves app based data collection, and the effect of participant data-agency on data quality. Before this project, I was involved with the D3I project as a junior researcher. In this project, an infrastructure is being created for research using data donation; an innovative data collection method for digital trace data.

I finished the research Master's programme Methodology and Statistics for the Behavioural, Biomedical and Social Sciences at Utrecht University in May 2022. This programme learned me about the state of the art research methodology and statistical methods. With the knowledge aquired in this programme, as well as during my bachelors in psychology, I hope to add my share in improving the research quality of the social sciences.
